A Sad Picture of True Love
The relationship between people of the opposite sex is quite a complicated thing as nowadays they are considered to be practically impossible without mutual feelings. If centuries ago it was quite a normal thing to marry a man or a woman just because of his income or her dowry, today it is considered to be something close to prostitution. Though such marriages for convenience still exist nowadays they are not really appreciated by the society and are strongly condemned. But in any case it is the personal choice of every person.
In the present times love is thought to be first and foremost in the relationships. It is ideal when after a couple of dates you fell in love with each other and live happily for the rest of the days. Mutual love is a real happiness though fewer and fewer people believe in it. More often it is just the feeling of one of the partners while the other just lets the one who is in love BE IN LOVE and devote him or herself to the partner. Unrequited love tortures both of the partners as the one who is in love is always jealous because he or she feels the indifference and is afraid of loosing the beloved. The other one just does not care much about the consequences and may easily commit adultery without even thinking about the pain it may cause to the person who loves. But still a lot depends on the moral values the person possesses.
Going on a date is always a reckless scheme as you never know what it may lead to. Just the passion or a true affection, just the lust or a true love… At times it is quite difficult to distinguish all these notions and what each of these feelings is like. Some people may date a person for a couple of years and even get marry just to discover one day that there exists a person somewhere nearby that is the ideal. He or she realizes that what had been before was not a true love but just an affection and “attachment”. Now a new world appeared and the person does not know what to do.
You can not notice the time when even the true love disappears and becomes just the habit. You get used to returning back home and seeing your wife in the kitchen though any close relations with her, meaning sex, do not bring you the kind of satisfaction you experienced a couple of years ago. But still you can not leave her as a lot connects with her; you have a common life now. It can’t be helped…
Then goes indifference and adultery, jealousy and divorce… A sad picture but this is life. Nothing is eternal and it is silly to idealize the relationships. They must be worked on but not dreamt about. Everything depends on yourself and on your abilities and desires to improve the situation. The relationships CAN be saved; the matter is how to treat them. But still there are cases when it is better to split once and for all. There are so many people around you, just have a look and have another try.
