Getting started

The “Join for free” button occupies the central place on the front-page so you won’t get frustrated searching for a button to subscribe to the service. Having entered your desired nickname and primary attributes, you are offered to fill in some information about yourself:
Physical attributes (Ethnic features, hair colour, hair style etc.)
Personal details (Eating habits, political orientation, education, etc.)
My interests (Shopping, going out, Pets, etc.)
My ideal partner (What factors are important in your ideal partner? Physical attributes, Personality details, Interests)
Your ideal partner should have the following attributes (looks, education, punctuality, museums, pubs, etc.)

If you to get want results that are more immediate and local, update your address as you move. Text your current location to 94810 by writing your address followed by your zip code. If you do not know your zip code, write your city and state, separated by a comma.

Having filled all the provided fields you are taken to “My Matches” page. You can then tailor this result by changing the geographical radius of your search, age range and other criteria such as those with pictures only. The system will automatically remember these settings each time you visit:
This section shows you the people that match your Ideal Partner criteria
The bar beneath their picture indicates how well they match your criteria (Green: High -> Red: Low)
To view their full profile click their picture or View Profile

The Main Menu

The main menu is quite functional and includes all the buttons that (at least to my mind) you will ever need using UKDating.com. In fact, the service is considered to be a local one and it is for the British, but if your true love is on the Island then be it like that. Nevertheless, let’s get back to the main menu, beside “My matches” button it features:

As you might have already noticed, Help section is available only to the registered users (here they are called trial members, in contrast to full members).

Uploading Images

You can store up to 3 pictures on UKDating.com
First go to your "My Info" area, and click on the "My Photos" button and you will see the 3 boxes that await your pictures
Click on the "Click to add picture" link in the first box.
Click on the "Browse.." button.
Locate the image on your computer that you would like to upload. Remember, it must be in JPEG or JPG format. (for instance, the file must have a .jpg suffix)
Click on the image you would like to upload, and press the OPEN button.
Your web browser will then return you to UKDating.com, having filled in the location of the file for you.
Press the Submit Picture button
If the system was unable to find the image, or the image is in an invalid format, you will get a Sorry, image error - Image was not in JPEG format
DONE !! Then wait for confirmation from our administrators who will review your picture (to make sure it's not inappropriate / rude etc) and E-mail you to say it's been accepted!

Rating

What is the rating at UKDating.com? Well, it is a great new feature which lets you rate the pictures of members on this site. Click on the score you think is right for each picture. If you want to rate a picture you simply click on it. The rating system is designed as a bit of fun, and shouldn't be taken seriously. If you would like to change whether your picture is rated or not, you can change your settings anytime.
