To my mind, the approach of the creators towards the service is simply ridiculous. From the very beginning, they undermine the basics of dating. It is not money that is important. If you place money ahead of everything, it looks like buying a new pair of jeans for those wealthy men. Moreover, I simply cannot understand those girls who come to the service in search of wealthy men. Are they highly-paid prostitutes? No? Why? The service is aimed at matching girls with wealthy men. How can we speak about equal relationships when such a huge gap exists between two individual from the very beginning. Another thing is the so-called “WM Verification System.” Do they really think they can be 100% sure that an individual gets the money he/she has indicated. I wouldn’t be that convinced that the system works! Until you upgrade your membership, you can't see anything but a few basic profile details. You even can't tell whether a member has recently visited the site. But there is one peculiar feature about the service: there seems to be no real-time chart or IM, only email. Even if you become a paid member you don't get access to any kind of advanced search option. Silver membership allows you to see detailed profiles and to use email. Gold level subscriptions, besides being listed first on browsing results, allow correspondence with non-paying site members. On the whole, in comparison to most online dating sites, WealthyMen.com seems overly simplistic. Its most redeeming quality is providing verified details regarding what might otherwise be exaggerated claims made by members. |
